About Us

IT TAKES HEART is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  ITH was founded by Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer, C. Celena Allen in 2020. She has one goal and that is to increase the SURVIVAL RATE of  Sudden Cardiac Death in young athletes through on-site and in-depth heart screenings/ integrated health programs. We see the value in everyone. We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2020, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: quality cardiac health care, increase access to care, target underserved and uninsured communities/families, and provide CPR/AED training as an emergency response initiative.
